The Haryana Government had constituted Municipal Corporation – MC Panchkula as per the order of 18 March 2010. To make Municipal Corporation Panchkula, Panchkula Municipal Council, Panchkula Municipality, Kalka Municipality, Pinjore, and 42 Gram Panchayats were included.
Haryana Government has imposed a similar house tax in both the municipalities rural area, which is included in Municipal Corporation Panchkula. Both municipalities come in the rural areas of Shiwalik region as it is a semi-mountainous and backward region.
The government has so far not been able to provide basic facilities to these areas. According to section 413 of the Haryana Municipal Corporation Act 1993, the government can not take it home until the government provides basic facilities.
However, according to the 2011 census of Haryana Government Finance Department, Kalka Pinjore has been kept in class 5, which is why 10% house rent allowance is given to employees of this area, whereas 20% house rent allowance is given to employees working in Panchkula.

1 GB Internet Free for Every Citizen under MCP:
Panchkula city has been the first free Wifi city in the state. In the city, free Wi-Fi was launched in 13 places. Now every citizen of Panchkula City will get 1 GB internet data free of charge on anyone mobile. For this facility, Panchkula Municipal Corporation had entered into an agreement with Esto Internet Company and for this, the company was imposing hot spots.
Under this facility, 30-40 mobile and laptops can be easily run in an area. The plan was inaugurated by local MLA Gyan Chand Gupta. Esto internet company got this tender by beating beat BSNL. In addition, Municipal Commissioner Rajesh Jogpal told that 13 locations are currently selected for free WiFi and their scope will be increased if required.
Property Related Services by Municipal Corporation- MC Panchkula
District Panchkula Municipal Corporation has authorized eight banks to deposit property tax (house tax) in Panchkula, Kalka, and Pinjore for the convenience of the people of the state.
These banks include IndusInd Bank and IDBI Bank of Sector-11 of Panchkula, IDBI Bank of Sector 20 of Panchkula, IDBI Bank in Panchkula MDC Sector-5, Central Bank of India Bank of Sector-10 of Panchkula, Sector-9 of Panchkula Indian Overseas Bank, Pinjour’s Indian Overseas Bank and Kalka Central Bank of India Bank.
Moreover, on the basis of Self Assessment, 10% discount is also given to those who deposit MC Panchkula Property Tax (House Tax) on time.

Secondly, on this page, you will have to enter the following information and after that press the “Search” button. On the next page, after that, you can see the payment option in Municipal Corporation – MC Panchkula Property Tax portal.
- Property ID – Enter Property Unique Id.
- Owner Name – Write Property Owner’s Name.
- Father/Husband Name – Fill Property Owner’s Father/Husband Name.
- Mobile Number – Give 10 digits valid and registered Mobile Number.
- Email ID – Current valid and registered email address.
- Select Zone – Select Locality from the drop-down menu.
- Select Ward – Ward number from the given link.
- Address – Mention here the complete postal address of property/house.

B1 – Apply for Change of Ownership/Name Correction in MC Panchkula Property Tax Records
Meanwhile, if any citizen wants to change the ownership or wants to apply for the name correction then the form is available online. You can get this application form from the official website which is also known as the “Mutation Application”.
On the other hand, go to the below available link where applicants will have to enter the “username and password”.
Change/Correction of Ownership in Property Tax Record
Subsequently, on this page fill the following information correct and true. After filling the complete information press the “Search” button. On the next page after that, you can see the property details for which you want to change the ownership.
- Property ID – Enter Property Unique Id.
- Owner Name – Write Property Owner’s Name.
- Father/Husband Name – Fill Property Owner’s Father/Husband Name.
- Mobile Number – Give 10 digits valid and registered Mobile Number.
- Email ID – Current valid and registered email address.

After that, for the next step, you will get the mutation application form. Fill that application form with the complete information and submit it online. You have to fill this form with the right and correct information after that download the acknowledgment slip.

B2 – Check Application Status for Property Ownership Transfer
If you are having the acknowledgment slip then go to the below link. Similarly, on this page, you will have to fill “Application Number and Applicant Name” for checking the status of your request.
Most importantly, then press the “Search” button after that as a result, you will see the status report on your next computer screen.
